Day by day us as human beings buy and consume things on a daily basis. When we do this we use money; Money is what makes a huge effect on how fast this county of York grows. While that happens we strive each day to provide for ourselves and at the same time we provide for the growth of our city as a whole. Through economic growth on the other hand you cannot see it through the naked eye. You see it as only numbers, looks of buildings, and the way each of us live.
Through our images that we created, we have tried to prove that the growth of York County can be seen through photos, and that the economy is bigger than you would normally think. With that in mind, each photo contains an element of growth that is represented, things such as cultural, political, and also economical growth. From the east side of the town to all the way over to the west side of town we have captured multiple images from businesses, apartments, and a very small proportion of living conditions. These photos that we have taken are used as a sort of helping hand to see what growth really looks like, seems like, and what it creates, even if it's the tiniest of sizes.
Most of the photos contain a scenario where there is money being exchanged in the form of business, like our pictures of apartments, restaurants, and business show that sense of growth. With that being said, the economy is one of the biggest players in why the city grows, and we have developed photos to represent that like Harley Davidson, Viet Thai, Giant, and also Central Market. Each of them contribute to the economic proportion of things, whilst our photos of apartments and our school represents the ups and downs of our living conditions , and educational growth.
The photos don't have a certain order that they should put in, but by the time you get to the end of the gallery you should realize that grows is all around you in the city of York.
The reason we chose to do topics related to growth is because you can notice as a human that everything grows no matter what; maybe not at a good rate but everything still does. With the added usage of photography we also have thought a lot more about our topic and see it as a gateway to begin creating solutions to other problems to keep humanity a float for the years to come. Growth we have found isn't just a ordinary global issue or even a success, but it shows over the course of years, months, days, maybe even minutes of how fast anything can become something new. Which is why the photos we took have shown the things in York that have grown over the course of our own lifetimes. Everyone wants humans to continue forever and with a chance for us to enhance those chances through images makes it more and more of a great opportunity to spread the joy of helping York become better and better.
Lastly, the community and world are two completely different scales of sizes but by starting small in a community like ours it can expand to create a better environment. The community of York has more than enough potential to create a change of how we treat York, and the effort put towards the well being of York. These photos aren't just any old photos but are truly meant to catch your eye is such a way that makes you realize how big of an impact we really are as people. Our sole purpose of these photos is to bring forth the thought of our community growing as well as bringing a perception to other community issues.
