Struggle is when you try hard to do something that is very difficult and try to overcome it. Everyday and everywhere you go, you see struggle. We give you a closer look at what struggle looks like around the community.
As a group, together, we all researched terrorism, water-scarcity, and poverty. Many places these events happened were Africa, Syria and China. With the problems combined, we got the idea of poverty/struggle. Struggle is different for everyone. Struggle could be when someone is homeless and living on he streets, or just struggling to provide a meal for their family. People struggle not only in York, Pennsylvania, but also world wide. But we took a closer look at struggle all around York, Pennsylvania and give you an idea of what our group thought struggle looked like throughout our community.
We picked struggle because we thought it was the best fit to our previous topics (terrorism, water-scarcity and poverty) They all connect to struggle in some type of way.
Poverty is the state of being extremely poor. Poverty is also happening all around us, as it is very similar to struggle. When someone has poverty, they obviously are struggling a lot. Whether it's not having enough food for their family, having beat up clothing and sometimes for some people, not having shelter. It's a growing problem, that sadly, most likely won't end. Nearly half of the world’s population (more than 3 billion people) live on less than $2.50 a day. It's truly a struggle for many people and or families around the world. Even though parents/adults still work a lot, sadly, they continue to have little amount of many whether it's not spending money accordingly or just not making enough. It's a tough world out there, and unfortunately, some peoples world is much tougher than others.
